What is the secret of a beautiful night sky? It is nothing else but the Moon! And I have been an ardent fan of it since childhood. I consider myself to be a selenophile. Staring at the night sky and looking at the moon evokes so many emotions in my heart, every single time. And on a cloudy night, when I can not see it, a little sadness lingers in my heart. The moon is every child’s Chanda Mama and every lover’s delight. The poets take their inspiration from it. The moon, which does not even have its own light, ignites so many creations oozing out from the human mind. Isn’t it amazing!
Given an option, I would like to visit the Moon. I would probably want to see the side that we never get to see! What is it that the moon hides? What is it that makes it so beautiful, despite having so many flaws? What is the secret that it possesses to migrate from one phase to another with such ease every single time? What mantra does it hold that the Sun keeps its promise of sharing its own light with the moon every night? What lessons does it want to teach us when it peeps from the night sky? What pain does it hide within? I would ask it all.
O' Moon, tell me secrets to win hearts to see the unseen tell me secrets to shine through darkness to own all my flaws O' Moon, you shine and smile and passion evokes lovers unite phases you champion every change you own ethereal beauty is your sign O. Moon, tell me your secrets ....
I would also want to see how the earth looks from the surface of the moon! It would look like a giant blue ball and how wonderful would that be? The dance of lunar and solar eclipse is another rhythmical affair that I would like to witness while visiting there. So, the Moon being the only natural satellite of the planet earth has been a symbol of illusion, beauty and charm is my first choice if I ever visit interstellar space because it feels like our own!
