The azure sky looked beautiful today,
rhyming with the color of my teacup,
curtains swinging and dancing in the air,
with the rhythm of slow retro music,
seated cross-legged, beside the window,
I sipped the elixir of life,
celebrating a moment in time.
This date was long overdue,
a moment to pause & go slow,
the peach tinted roses bloomed across the street,
waving a bright sun-kissed smile in my direction,
a signal perhaps to fall in love,
with the shiny galaxies, hiding many moons,
with the mundane life, hiding tiny celebrations.
