Narration: The story is like a visual treat for the readers and is so beautifully narrated that it keeps the readers hooked till the very last page. The narration is an amalgamation of beautiful storytelling with bits of wit, humor, passion, and emotions infused into the plot making it a feel-good romance that makes one feel satisfied and the story stays long after you close the last page.

Book Cover & Title: The book cover will surely be loved by all romance readers. The protagonists and uncovering of so many layers between them have been beautifully depicted on the cover page.

Content: “Just the way you are” is a mature romance that is filled with passion and layers of human emotions. It is not just a romance novella but is a reflection of an unconventional love story that probably our society does not approve of. Shikha, a single mom, and Yash, a budding musician meet at a wedding and before they could know each other properly, the hyperactive atmosphere of the marriage proceedings infused with laughter & music has its magic on them and they give in to their desires. But what happens next is a treat for the readers. The story develops beautifully when Shikha realizes that she is about eight odd years older than Yash and tries to withdraw herself from everything, despite her falling for his devilish charm. Yash, who seems a very unbothered & nonchalant character displaying a casual & flirtatious attitude has so many layers to his exterior self. His traumatic childhood has made him understand the pain but somehow he covers his empathetic self with his flamboyant nature. Yash, with his optimistic & brave nature, defies many stereotypes that this society poses when two hearts want to unite.

What I particularly liked about this book is that it deals with flaws that we all have, making the protagonists seem real & relatable. Shikha boldly faces her life after walking away from a broken marriage & Yash, struggles to show that a younger man in a relationship does not necessarily have to be immature. The situations in the life of the protagonists shape their behavior in every phase of life. But what remains unchanged is the attraction between two of them. Even the distance between them becomes the catalyst for them to eventually be drawn to each other like magnets depicting that when the real connection happens, no obstacle can come in its way. The banter between Shikha & Yash is my absolute favorite and I bet the readers will have a smile as they read them as well. The unpredictability factor of whether Yash & Shikha surpass all barriers in their journey proves to be a page-turner for the readers.

The characters of Vanita, Avantika, and others in the background are interesting and give the plot an edge. I loved the climax of the scene where the title of the book “Just the way you are” comes alive. This is a romance novella that is sure to warm your heart, put a smile on your face & of course make one believe that love is the greatest power of all that exists on planet earth. As a die-hard romantic, I completely enjoyed this book and recommend it wholeheartedly to my readers. If you love romance as a genre, then this is a must-read!
