I looked up at the sky,
looking for the twinkling little balls of fire,
up above and far away,
they seemed distant yet so very near,
always smiling with their lights on,
an invisible bond that binds me to thee,
they say stars are not dead but our loved ones,
making them lively warding off the darkness,
inculcating a belief that even a tiny ray of hope,
helps one going through the dingy alleys,
constellations that they form with unique patterns,
making me anxious if they have they choose their own clans,
stars probably bless a few chosen ones,
helping them to rise from the ashes,
afresh, filled with zeal to take on a new path,
I seek my star up among those vast stretches of limitless space,
to guide me in finding a new path of purpose with HIS grace.
Love,
Chinmayee
