I have been nominated by the poetess Ellora Mohanty to participate in the poetic marathon #PeetMeNotLeave. For eight consecutive days, I will be publishing one of my poems along with a photo.

I have been quite late in participating in this contest but nonetheless, I wanted to give it a try for the sheer joy of being able to create some poetic landscapes. I hope you like my attempt and in some way, enjoy the journey. I welcome you all on this fun ride!!

I have chosen Fire/light as my inspiration and I hope I do justice to the theme through my poems.

Passion, thy name is fire

The spark of first love that

melted our hearts

releasing butterflies within

transferring purest of emotions

from one innocent eyes

to the other with a passion

that burned in the secret

corners of heart

lights the flames of emotions when a silence engulfs in adulthood!

Passion, thy name is fire

The burning desire that

propels an ambitious soul

to achieve one’s long- cherished goal

to wake up from the slumber of darkness

to excel even with deprived resources

to challenge one’s inner demons of hopelessness

to incessantly hone the skilss

to introspect & find the root cause of darkness

lights the flames of courage that invokes all possibilities!

Passion, thy name is fire

The radiance of trust & love that

binds two different individuals

who dream to build their own nest

creating new lives , caring for old generations

to indulge in the cyclic chain of life

to get immersed in the warmth

to forget worries in the laughter sessions

to share the burdens of the otherwise mechanical life

lights the flame of patience that gives a family its very existence!
