Though I may not always confess, I have this urge to make everything look perfect on the first go. And to achieve that, I waste a lot of time in preparing or planning. Be it writing or starting a healthy regime, I struggle with consistency because the moment of starting gets delayed. A nd then when I start and fumble, I get annoyed with myself .
And somehow, in this whole loop, I miss out on so many stuff. But perfection is achieved through repeated failure and an iron will to not give up. And the next three months I intend to do just that. Push myself to take action in every sphere. Take failure head -on and keep going.
I might be harsh on myself for saying all this. But the year 2026 was brutal, as it tested my resilience to handle medical emergencies in my family. And maybe I need to pat myself on the back for being able to survive this year. The daily tasks seemed like a mountain, and managing work and family duties just consumed my entire time.
To add to this , endless doomscrolling has eaten away a large chunk of my time, and I am ashamed of myself for falling into this addiction. I really hope that I can bring my hyperactive mind on track and stick to a routine for a healthy and productive time ahead.
So, here’s to making mistakes and quitting my idea of being perfect till I become obsessed with consistency where the end goal is nothing but perfection.
And hence, the quote ” Judge me when you are perfect” is going to be my favorite, and let us see how I excel in my path.
Wish me luck.
Love,
Chinmayee.
