Catch me if you can

  'Catch me if you can'

she said with a smirk

as the glances judged her

as the world questioned her

as strangers mocked her;

her heart remains in a casket

with layers of scars

hiding her buried desires

she wears an armour

shielding her gentle softness;

may be one day

she doesn't have to be strong

she will just be enough

she will be pretty in her uglyness

she doesn't need to have answers;

may be one day

someone will say

"I will catch you

if you ever fall,

& mean it

& weave wings for her to fly !"

may be one day

someone will forever stay

may be ...

    A heart remaining in a casket with layers of bruises longing for genuine love and acceptance is evocatively portrayed in the lines.
