The alarm clock rang at sharp 6.00 in the morning. Revathy woke up instantly unlike hitting the snooze button. She quickly checked her Google Calendar. Yes, it was today. The meeting with Arvind was scheduled today. Her heart felt a little shiver. But why? This wasn’t her first & this certainly won’t be the last meeting. Then why was she feeling such rush of emotions? She sat up straight in her bed & gulped down the glass of water as quickly as possible.

“Does it mean anything? Why can’t I stop this adrenalin rush every time I think of him? But what if he doesn’t feel the same about me? Ahhhh… Screw it all. We will see when we come to it.” She thought to herself as she entered the bathroom .

And ….. thud !

“Ouuuchhhh! What the actual hell ! ” She was squirming with pain lying on the floor unable to get up.

“Arey Madam ji! Kya ho gaya? cried out the house help.

Ashwin’s attention was diverted after a notification alert on his WhatsApp. 

“Ashwin please handle the meeting without me. I had a bad fall in the morning. I do not think I can make it. ”

Arvind arrived exactly on time . Dressed in  a black tuxedo he looked polished and prepared with his homework done.

” Where is Revathy ? Won’t she be joining us today ?” Arvind enquired.

“Nah ! She had a bad fall in the morning.  Nothing to worry. Just few days to recover . “

Ohhh ! Arvind exclaimed and sent a Getwell soon Messenge on WhatsApp to Revathy.

The meeting went on fine and goals were set for the next five years. Arvind and Ashwin were like two young kids who had scored century in gully cricket. That is what happens when goals align.

With smiles in their face, they shook hands. But then they could not let go of each other’s hands. Their eyes locked. A wave of emotions erupted.

Ashwin withdrew his hand. Perplexed , Arvind continued to look into Ashwin’s eyes. Both of them  remained quite but it felt as if  their hearts spoke in silence.
