
Initially, there was a crack, but now it had a bigger one. Slowly, with time, tiny cavities popped up on its surface. And then it hurt—first a little and then a lot more.
“Why? What did you do to be in so much pain?” I asked.
“I dared to trust; I dreamt of belongingness & I envisioned enjoying company. Hence…”, my heart replied.
“And, you assumed it to be love…really? When will you learn? ”, I mocked.
“Oooops… I did it again!” my heart sighed.
My brain laughed at both of us loudly in the corner!

That, “When will you learn?” felt so personal. I feel the heart never does learn and the brain is permanently in the corner laughing or sitting with hands on its face in defeat.
