Just in Time

I opened my Report Card slowly and saw it. A shiver went down my spine. The very thought of facing Maa with this card was enough to give me the jitters. I held the card close to my chest and sent out a prayer. The Universe always listens, they say! Does it?

The entire day, I thought of running away somewhere far.

I got off the school bus & just when I was about to ring the doorbell, I heard the sound of Papa’s scooter approaching. I sighed in relief.

With a smile, I said, “My savior arrives…just in time!”

Love,

Chinmayee

  2. haha… that’s a nice role reversal for me
I used to be more anxious about my father’s reaction than my mother’s on report card days.
