So, April is almost here and so is the A2Zblogging challenge!
The A2Z blogging challenge I registered for this challenge quite early this year. But while I wrote daily on my blog for the #writeapageaday, I was left with very little time to plan and schedule the A2Z challenge. Having said that I do not regret anything because I wanted to create more blogs and keep my blog active which I was able to do so. But then it can feel a little overwhelming when you actually think of this challenge.
Till the last moment, I thought, whether I should participate or withdraw. But then, I know I do not want to miss out on this great challenge and the fun of gaining so much knowledge by reading everyone’s posts. You can say I have a major FOMO ( lol).
So, apart from juggling my job and intending to publish a book, I have decided to participate in this challenge. I plan to take up non-fiction this year where every day I will be writing about women in the stream of science and their contributions. Mostly the focus will on women of Indian origin and their contributions, but on some days, it might be from anywhere else as well.
The reason is Women in STEM are always less celebrated. We have information about them written in some corners but we do not talk enough about it. So, I guess, when we talk about equality or inclusivity, women though do very well in studies, always get less recognition when it comes to higher education or the field of Research. The field of STEM has always been considered to be dominated by men! So, this would be my little tribute to the hard work put in by women scientists over the years.
I hope, this will add some value and will also help me gain a lot of knowledge.
