One day, one fine day…

One day,
One fine day,
when we are gone,
we will leave behind,
the thoughts that we carried,
the dreams that we dreamed.

One day,
One fine day,
when we are gone,
we will be memorized,
for the struggles that we overcame,
for not bowing down to be the 'same'.

One day,
One fine day,
when we are gone,
we will leave behind,
words that carried our thoughts,
poems that were actually our heartfelt songs.

One day,
One fine day,
when we are gone,
we will be missed,
for our softness in this rigid & ruthless world,
for our kindness amongst the hearts that are almost dead.

One day,
One fine day,
when we are gone,
they will find us,
in the stories of resilience that we inked,
in the tales of courage that we carefully shaped.

One day,
One fine day,
when we are gone,
they will witness,
the traces left behind with passionate work,
the journey undertaken to immortalize our spirited spark.

Love,
Chinmayee

So beautifully expressed Chinmayee. This was one of the reasons (very selfish I know) to start writing. I wanted to leave some legacy behind.

    1. Loving oneself is not selfish! And you have just begun, I am sure the trail that you will leave behind will be a shining one for sure.
