Love Personified!

Love, they say is as easy as it can get and as difficult as it can, to understand. We hear this word often ! We all sometimes spend our lifetime to experience it and at times, we experience the meaning of it in few seconds!! It can range from being pure , being divine, being soulful to being complex, being an addiction or being an obsession! Well, to be loved and being able to love in true sense is a miracle, a blessing and the most fortunate aspect one can ever experience in this journey called life. But , it requires effort and probably a lot of time to understand the very existence of love in our lives in different formats !

Personally, if I have understood the meaning of love , of selfless giving , of unconditional empathy, it is by observing her over the years. It was not the case during my adolescent age , but with every passing year , with each line of wrinkle that makes itself appear on her face, with each of her grey hair that multiplies as years pass by, this becomes more and more clear that ‘ she ‘ probably means LOVE itself!

She is the medium because of which I exist , experience life, believe that I can get up after every fall, still love my parts that might seem ugly to the outer world, hold my head high in the ever judgmental world, gather the strength to pull myself up after being scattered when fate strikes hard, be inspired for a new beginning; it’s all because of her!

I see many similarities of myself in her but she is so grand that I don’t even understand if I will ever qualify to become even a miniscule part of her ! Her aura makes my racing heart pause and it calms my ever perspiring thought process that poses so many open ended questions, every now and then ! I do not know ,if not for her, then who would have handled me in my phases of utter chaos that had reduced me to my ugliest self . It’s like I have a part of me in her and vice versa and these parts are connected through a chord that no matter the physical distance or any other hinderances, always have the strongest connect. She is the greatest blessing that I have in this lifetime and all I can do is to be grateful for it, every passing second!

They say she is the first teacher but I would rather emphasize on the fact that she is a life long teacher who teaches with her own way of living, own dedication and her own persona every single day! The way she handles pain to bring smile on my face seems effortless but I understand now the immense task and attempts behind such affection. It takes real hard work because her actions are the very embodiment of love!

I do not know if I, myself can ever experience this emotion, to bear another life within me, to be able to withstand the severe pain and be the reason for someone’s existence in this world ! I salute to the spirit of motherhood that for me is LOVE PERSONIFIED! And by motherhood , I mean the state someone one enjoys for nurturing us, sustaining us and making us who we are as individuals . It can be the mother nature, fathers who sometimes are more connected to their off springs, elder siblings who behave as a layer of protection for the younger ones , mother- in -laws who seamlessly integrate the new members into the family with love, care and affection, pet owners who love their pets as their own kids or our own Mothers !

It is rightly said that GOD could not be everywhere , hence He created Mothers ! Personally for me, love in its most purest form is the motherly affection and may even surpass the divine love where we fall in love with the super power! May be because I still am learning to indulge in the colors of spiritual love , to love an unseen force, the Almighty! I don’t think I have the inner capacity to equate or even reciprocate the love that I receive from my own creator , my ‘Maa’, as I fondly call her , and probably this entire lifetime will not even be sufficient for the same !

PC: From Internet

I dedicate a few lines as a tribute:

You oversee me like an angel ,

giving me life and nurturing me so well,

with every single embrace I heal,

your unconditional love is pure & real,

a divine blessing that adorns me as a halo,

protecting me from relationships that are hollow,

we have our fights , arguments and debates,

but something burns inside when I see you in tears,

unaware of how I can ever survive when you are gone,

an ultimate truth that will leave me shattered & broken,

I know for sure that I can never love you enough,

without you life will be a meaningless terrain ,

for I know I will be owned by none ,

the way you own me & I will be left forever alone!

I dedicate this post to my Mother, my lifeline ,the reason why I survive today and cheers to the spirit of Motherhood which is the most purest form of the emotion called LOVE!

A mother is nothing but LOVE PERSONIFIED and a LIVING MIRACLE !

I can’t agree more on this: Yes, Mothers are so special; I believe no words have ever built to define the Mother’s love; it is beyond expression, beyond measurement, beyond expectation. The love and respect of a daughter for her dear mother can be easily felt in your words Chinmayee. Another Brilliant take.

Your post is an ode to motherhood and I could connect with every emotion you poured in there! Mothers make us what we are and intentionally or unintentionally, we become their shadows, beating together in cadence. Aren’t we so blessed to have an angel from above guiding us and loving us unconditionally, for the rest of our lives!! Angels called mothers ❤️❤️

This is such a beautiful post Chinmayee! Motherhood is indeed the pure form of love. The moment a foetus is created in the womb, the lady falls in love with him/her. A woman undergoes a transition and realizes the most unconditional form of love for her child. This love is so powerful that, the women becomes gentle towards her baby, yet fierce to protect the baby from the world. Motherhood is indeed a great challenge, for which God prepares a woman by endowing her with multiple qualities and emotions.
