My theme for #MyFriendAlexa 2020 is School Days & Musings. Hence, I will be penning down 8 stories that you can fall in love with and may revisit your beautiful innocent days that were never perfect but were filled with fun, laughter & pure joy. The protagonists will vary every day to add a little more fun and I have used the most possible simple way of getting into these young minds. The Posts will be like diary entries made by these kids at the end of the day about how their day was (mostly about some very memorable encounters)! The posts will be in the form of episodes as every post is interconnected. I have tried to visualize the world from the eyes of the unadulterated souls. I aspire to pass on a little smile that I can to each one of you reading my pieces so that I will feel that I was of some use.

Dear Diary,
Today was quite eventful. Class IX A had to suffer mass punishment today! And the fault was entirely of section B! But who can explain the class teacher about the real cause? Sheela Mam, our class teacher most of the times is beyond my understanding. Whatever she says, is the final verdict!! I have never liked her. I had really wished that the young dynamic Sir who teaches English to be our Class teacher this year . But alas ,that never happened. The subject that Sheela Madam teaches ,i.e. history is as boring as her personality.
Without understanding the real issue, she just announced that both the sections (Sec A & Sec B) have to kneel down outside our respective classrooms. Not that this punishment ever embarrasses us, but it’s rather a very funny event when the entire class is out and the studies stop for two to three periods. The knees do pain a little but we as a group, we always have the remedies ready beforehand. We never forget to have a spare handkerchief in our bags at all the times and whenever the knees have to touch on the corridor ground; these pairs come into rescue as we quietly place them below our knees. And the biggest problem is solved! When any of the teachers pass through the passage, we just put our heads down as a sign of feeling guilty. But the smiles that escape while looking at each other from the corner of the eyes is from the bottom of the hearts and at that moment it hardly matters what anyone thinks about us. When everyone suffers collectively, probably the pain also becomes a bit less and a lot more enjoyable.
So, the main point is Section B was at fault when they tried to mock section A, our section as we could not bag the interclass Best Performance Trophy that each year belonged to us. So, when it all started, our section as a group also could never take this insult. The boys battled it out and all the girls were cheer leaders supporting our classmates. I was leading the girl’s gang from the front as always . Well, leadership has always been my strength ! After all, I am a born leader.
However, this new girl named Juhi seemed as if she had no interest in the entire event. She seemed lost as always and behaved as if she has nothing to do in this “do or die” struggle that our section was undertaking. I understand she being new, is finding it hard to connect, but when you are assigned a particular class, you just have to own it up! What is so difficult in doing that? You become part of the tribe and follow the rules , as simple as that. Probably she is quite slow in understanding things, I guess.
She is quite unusual as a person and I have noticed it in her mannerisms. I mean it’s just been few days that she joined the school in the midterm but during the game class, she is so enthusiastic about actually playing ,unlike we girls who love to gossip & bitch around in the games period. It was unbelievable when she rushed to join the boys playing volley ball today in the games class, when Ramesh sir(Sports teacher) invited if any girls wanted to participate. To my surprise, she was quite good at it also. Ramesh Sir was elated more than anyone ! Well, it’s not his fault as well. I mean, who plays with the boys ,that too in the scorching sun, without being concerned about the sun- tan? She is either a bit delusional or has lost out on some essential etiquette that a girl needs to possess.
However the cruel part was when I noticed she & Shekhar share some glances. I clenched my fingers in anger then. I really never had a good vibe about this new girl from the very beginning. I do not think she will fall in line easily. I really need to make her taste some rough waters . Only then she will understand what is my potential and what is that I am capable of doing to her. Pallavi, her so called new friend is not going to be her friend anymore. I will make sure the teachers develop a bad impression on her as well. And her thoughts about Shekhar, will get nipped in the bud for sure. That’s going to be my last and final move and it will have repercussions like never before. After all , I am not someone to go down the lane without any traces. I will make sure Juhi, remembers her recent transfer to this new school for the rest of her life . I promise, she and Shekhar will never ever look into each others eyes again , forget anything else. I have got a lot of ideas to execute to give warm welcome to the new girl on the campus !
